Riley care was started in 2006 as the first disaster preparedness kit on the market, Happily there are many available today. Sadly many owners are still unprepared.

Simple items like, booties, water, their own food stored, calming meds or outerwear, an extra leash, even a life jacket. Every disaster has its own set of issues. I cannot begin to share the stories as a news junking watching the horror and sadness after Katrina or keeping my own dogs safe after the Northridge quake of 94’ and the sound of crashing glass everywhere as both of my dogs came bolting to me in the middle of the quake. We then spent 4 days sleeping in my car to keep us all safe from after shocks and the effects it has on both mine and the dogs reactions. Its up to us to be hyper vigilant to keep them safe… Just imagine even a cut from glass on their paw and having to find a vet in the middle of a disaster.
